Working of ResMed CPAP Machines

ResMed CPAP machines are used for the treatment of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a disorder in which patients are not able to sleep during the nights because of insufficient airway. As a result, they find difficulty in breathing. These ResMed CPAP machines treat this disorder using CPAP i.e. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure.

A CPAP machine is connected with the CPAP mask using the flexible tubes. This machine also has some interface devices which are used for covering the mouth or nose. This machine produces enough pressure which can help the patient to breathe easily during his or her sleep. ResMed CPAP machines are generally used for treating central as well as obstructive sleep apnea.
One thing should be kept in mind clearly that these CPAP machines and masks should only be used under the prescription of your doctor. Apart from this, you also need to ensure that they are approved by FDA i.e. Food and Drug Administration. FDA approved products are safer to use.

There can different types of CPAP machines. A standard CPAP machine blows the pressure uniformly as set into the machine. However, an automatic machine detects the change in pressure automatically and then adjusts the pressure in accordance with the patient’s needs.
